Kevlar Hurricane Screens — 6-Opening Pool Lanai, New Construction
Wind Safe installed Kevlar motorized hurricane screens across six lanai openings — including two spans over 25 feet — on a new construction home in Naples, FL. White frame, granite grey screen.
- Installed: 2026
- Product: Kevlar Motorized Hurricane Screens
- Location: Naples, FL
- Community: Esplanade by the Islands
This post-construction install at Esplanade by the Islands gave the homeowner full hurricane screen protection in Naples across six lanai openings — including two spans exceeding 25 feet — without compromising the lake views or the outdoor living space the home was designed around.
Wind Safe installed Kevlar motorized hurricane screens with a white aluminum frame and granite grey screen fabric throughout. Kevlar-based screens are among the most capable systems available for large openings: the material is impact-rated, resists tearing under wind load, and rolls up cleanly into a compact hood when not in use. At the push of a button, all six openings close and the entire lanai is protected.
New construction installs like this one are ideal candidates for motorized screens — the framing is clean, the openings are square, and there’s no retrofit complexity to work around. The result is a finished installation that looks purpose-built rather than added on. This project is representative of the work our team completes throughout Southwest Florida’s newest gated communities, from Naples and Bonita Springs south through Estero.
This installation was permitted through Collier County Building Services and completed to current Florida Building Code requirements.
